My name is Alissa Miller and for as long as I can remember I have wanted to be an artist and a writer.  I graduated from RIT in Rochester, New York and having decided on majoring in Illustration I tried all different types of classes but nothing spoke to me like Book Illustration, specifically Children's Books.  I have always loved to read and love reading to my nephews.  While I love painting just for the sake of painting, books give me more of a sense of purpose.  When someone opens a book that I have written or illustrated I can't wait to see joy and laughter spread over their face.

 

All the books on this site are currently self-published either for myself or for the authors whose stories I have done my best to bring to life.  I hope as you poke around on the site and perhaps get to hold some of the books in your hands that you will also feel inspired.  I hope any of you aspiring authors out there will feel free to contact me regarding bringing YOUR stories to life through illustrations!
